Frequently Asked Questions
For Tutors
Tutors are required to commit to a minimum engagement period of one month, except in cases where valid reasons—such as chronic illness—apply. The agency reserves the right to determine what constitutes a valid reason, and documentary proof may be requested to support any such claim.
If a client terminates the assignment before the one-month period, tutors will receive 50% of the fees for lessons already conducted. However, if a tutor ends the assignment earlier than one month without a valid reason, no fees will be payable.
All disputes related to cancellations and payments will be addressed and resolved at the agency’s sole discretion, based on the evidence and circumstances presented.
Our agency retains a commission equivalent to the tuition fees for the first two weeks. For example, if lessons are held once a week, this covers 2 lessons; if twice a week, it covers 4 lessons. We will invoice clients directly for these initial two weeks.
From the third week onward, all payments will be made directly from the client to you.
In cases where a client continues lessons but has not paid the agency’s commission, it is your responsibility to collect and remit the outstanding amount to us. Please note that any attempt to bypass this process or failure to comply may lead to immediate removal from our platform and could result in legal action.
Any modifications to the original lesson arrangement—including increased lesson frequency, additional subjects, or other adjustments—must be reported to us promptly. Our commission will be recalculated based on the updated scope of work, regardless of when the changes take effect.
We expect tutors to communicate directly with clients regarding curriculum details and to prepare lessons accordingly. Tutors have the autonomy to design and deliver lessons using methods best suited to the student’s needs, provided they align with the prescribed syllabus. If additional resources or assessment materials are needed, tutors may request reimbursement from clients only after obtaining prior agreement. We recommend tutors to provide clients with receipts for any purchased lesson materials to ensure transparency.
Please note that the agency is not responsible for any reimbursements owed to tutors by clients. It is the tutor’s responsibility to manage and follow up on such payments directly with the client.
Tutors are expected to dress and speak professionally at all times, treating students with respect and dignity. Any form of abuse or degrading behavior toward clients is strictly prohibited. Clients have the right to report such incidents to the authorities, including the Ministry of Education (MOE) or the Singapore Police Force (SPF). Please note that the agency will not be responsible for any legal proceedings arising from such matters.
Any proven instances of unprofessional conduct, teaching unrelated content, or repeated client complaints will result in permanent removal from our database. The agency reserves the right to pursue legal action against tutors whose behavior damages our reputation.
